DIALOGUE ON RACE – Advanced Beyond Series
A series that goes beyond the original and the Advanced. It is a continuation of the educational process for the elimination of racism.
Open to DOR Advanced Alums only
The Dialogue on Race Beyond series is a structured two hour 4-week series limited to 15 participants. The sessions are led by trained facilitators.
The conversation around race often comes down to people talking about their direct personal experiences.
This is series is to connect those personal experiences with the larger system of racism and how the personal experiences and attitudes become institutionalized and how the institutional power and actions impact those personal attitudes.
Session I – Terms and distinctions used in Racial and Ethnic Inequality
Session II – Who should decide what Color one should be? The Creole Experience
Session III – Cracking the Code: The System of Racial Equality.
